Our Mission and Services

 
The K.S.C. is the principal organization on the national level that represents and coordinates Korean Catholic charismatic renewal in the U.S. and Canada. It was set up in 1992, endorsed by The Korean Priests Association of North America, in conformity with the Catholic principles of N.S.C, I.C.C.R.S and N.C.C.B.

It consists of a chairperson, a vice-chairperson and executive members. The Communications Office publishes a bi-monthly newsletter to approximately 1,500 Korean churches or individuals. It also operates a web site to provide information: http://kscusa.org. The administrative office serves the K.S.C. by providing the administration necessary to implement decisions.


Mission
Statement

 

l       To evangelize through the power of the Holy Spirit. It seeks to foster charismatic renewal in the Korean Catholic community on the national level through networking in interconnection with the nine regional Korean CCR associations and two Korean CCR centers, participating actively in the evangelizing mission of the Catholic Church in cooperation with The Committee of Five.

l       To establish and maintain good relations and cooperation with N.S.C. and the regional associations and the centers for Korean Catholic communities.

l       To issue guidelines, sponsor conferences and seminars or offer leadership training; provide information for prayer meetings and regional associations; translate, write, and publish books; compose and publish music; develop programs.

l       To support ministry to teenagers and young adults and support ministry to intercultural families.
